A.B.P is my acronym for Always Be Positive. Think about it for a second and say it again, Always Be Positive. Always being positive is sometimes a hard concept and mind frame to have all the time. If you have a positive attitude and a positive frame of mind, I guarantee a lot of positive things will unfold in your future. In today’s world, it is easy to be bogged down my negativity, bad thoughts and we let the cynicism get to us. I feel it is easy to change all that and to always be positive. It is easy for all of us to go to the negative and think ” I can’t do that, I don’t want to do that, that is to hard, too far, or just a pain in the ass.” We are blessed to live and enjoy each every day we wake up so whether you want to or not, slow down, relax and cherish each and every second we have on this great planet. I am grateful and blessed every day I wake up and I say so out loud on my drive to work. I am grateful to be able to provide for my family and give them food, shelter, clothing and safety. I am grateful for my heart, brain and lungs to work every day without me asking them to and continue to be grateful for my good health and my family’s good health. I admit, it was hard for me to always be in the positive state of mind and could be thought of as a “Debbie Downer” and until recently when a good friend called me out on it, it shook me, woke me up and made me want to change the person I was. I have been in a fantastic mood ever since and I feel like the sun in shinning brighter and I take everything which happens to me throughout the day with a gentle, patient and positive state of mind. There is no need or room for worry, hate, harshness, meanness and insecurities. We should all be filled with love, joy and happiness and be willing to share those feeling with each and every person you encounter. There should be so much good energy flowing off of every one of us that people can notice without even saying a word to you. I recently attended a Ziggy Marley concert a couple of weeks ago and what I got from it was how much joy, happiness and togetherness music brings. You can feel the magic and energy in the air and it becomes contagious. Everyone who left that concert was changed forever and hopefully left with a newer more positive outlook on life.
Throughout the rest of our week, tune into yourself and see how positive you actually are. Are you positive all the time or are there areas where you can improve on? How positive are you to your friends, your co-workers and your significant others? Remember to always be positive and see how much better your life, your mood and your mindset improves.
