It is time for another installment of some diving bloopers. These divers in the video are trying hard to learn new dives and just do not quite have it just yet. A lot of the clips in this video I would not call smacks or bloopers but just coming up a little short and not quite making the dive. It is all part of the learning process. Often times you will see divers under rotating dives and landing in the water piked or in the C position. This is due to either not having the strength to successfully complete the dive or not having the confidence to go after it aggressively. Either way, the result is often very painful. You can tell when they are learning a new dive by the bubbles in the water. The bubbles help soften the water by adding air to it so it takes a little bit of the sting out of it. Unfortunately I have no experience with them by me learning new dives the hard way. A couple of the dives you will see are really great smacks with the divers getting completely lost in their twists. Getting lost in a twister is a very scary and painful way to do a dive because you have no clue where you are or how you are going to land. For me, it rattles my confidence and psyche. Anyways, enjoy the video and your weekend. I am off to the river for some fun in the sun with the family and great friends.
