Here is the first college diving video I have come across for the 2013-14 season. It is brought to us from the University of Texas diving invitational. Generally most colleges will travel to and compete in at least one, maybe two invitationals each year. Invitationals are a great way to see how fine tuned you are during the middle of the season, prepare you for your conference championships and a great way to get a look at different levels of competition. Sometimes at invites there may be different divisions of schools competing together like if it is a division 1 school hosting the meet, they might invite a division 2 or 3 school. Some divers may think they are hot stuff because they go to a bigger, better division1 school but also have the possibility of being shocked by a better diver from a smaller school. One of the great reasons I love sports is because anybody can win on any given day and also anything can happen. Hence why one must always have the mind set they can win and be victorious.
“Regardless of how you feel inside, always try to look like a winner. Even if you are behind, a sustained look of control and confidence can give you a mental edge that results in victory.” Arthur Ashe
