Paleo: Eat This, Not That

We are all familiar with the Eat This, Not That book that hit the book shelves and really opened up our eyes to the healthier of the two options.  What originally started as a small nutritional tidbit in the Men’s Health Magazine blossomed into a whole book.  I believe the book is fantastic giving the readers and inside look of the foods they love, how good it is for them and whether or not there is a healthier alternative.  Hopefully more of the foods you like were favored on the Eat This portion rather than the Not That.  Being a huge fan of paleo eating as many of you may know, I have been doing some research and have not found any eat this, not that paleo style.  So I decided to make my own to help out and guide you all in the right direction.  Please forgive me for it being very random but here we go:

Natural Sweeteners:                                                  Refined Sweeteners:

Raw Honey, Stevia, Coconut Sap,                            Sugar Cane, White and Brown Sugar

Grade B Maple Syrup                                                Refined Syrup or Honey,Splenda

Basically what it comes down to the simpler, less processed food the better.  Whatever you can harvest from nature and whatever animal roams the earth, you can eat.  If man made it, has a long shelf life and comes in a box you might want to second guess what you are putting in your mouth.

Have a fantastic Eating This day.
