Pooped-out-itis

I stumbled upon this video on the man of exercise himself, Mr. Jack LaLanne.  What blows my mind about this video is how spot on it was then and how even more so now.  He was such a pioneer and I guess if your information is so absolutely correct than it will stand the test of time.  We are tired as a nation and it is becoming very sad and very depressing.  There are too many commercials out there promising a quick boost in energy now with no crash later.

Well, how about energy now and and energy for ALL the rest of the day?  If you take care of yourself, move a little bit and nourish your body with the right foods then you can have unlimited amounts of energy all day.  Stop relying on artificial drinks to supply you with energy.  Lay off the caffeine, sugar, and energy drinks.  Go to sleep a little earlier.  Jack made a great point about nervous tension as well.  We need to  learn how to relax more and calm ourselves down.  I spend about 40 minutes in the morning of complete silence to get my day started.  It puts me in a clam, relaxed state of mind before I become overstimulated with so many lights, sounds , and noises at my gym.  What are you doing to ease your nervous tension?  Meditation? Yoga?  Whatever it may be, find something that works for you and stick to it.
